A new paper is out! ๐ŸŽ‰

Impact of nature-based solutions (NBS) on urban surface temperatures and land cover using remote sensing and machine learning (in Remote Sensing Applications: Society and Environment).

The authors analyzed Guimarรฃes, Portugal over a decade (2013โ€“2023) to see how NBS help reduce urban heat. Using satellite data and machine learning, the authors also project land cover and land surface temperature to 2028, giving planners practical scenarios to guide green actions in the coming years.

This study brings together remote sensing, ML, and local-scale analysis to inform sustainable urban planning and climate mitigation.

How does cold-formed steel really behave when exposed to fire?
This study proposes a ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐ž๐ฅ that accurately predicts fracture initiation and propagation up to 700 ยฐC, validated across multiple steel grades and applied to structural members under fire.

How does cold-formed steel really behave when exposed to fire?
This study proposes a ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐ž๐ฅ that accurately predicts fracture initiation and propagation up to 700 ยฐC, validated across multiple steel grades and applied to structural members under fire.
